 While few would argue that Eric Clapton is one of the finest guitarists of all time, it is sometimes forgotten just how pivotal, influential and downright startling this man was during the 1960s. And while, throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s, Clapton has remained a musician and songwriter of rare ability with moments of glory resplendent on album after album it was during the decade in which he emerged that his awesome skills were used most creatively. As an early member of the Yardbirds, a crucial part of the Bluesbreakers, a founder member of Cream and 'the one who mattered most' in the short lived Blind Faith, EC, to many, really was a deity.

Bret Michaels Sues Concert Promoter For $5 Million |

Two weeks ago, Bret Michaels showed up in Syracuse, N.Y., to perform a concert. He arrived at the venue only to find that the gig had been postponed without his knowledge.
The rocker and "Celebrity Apprentice" winner, fuming from the incident, has just filed a $5 million lawsuit against the concert promoter who allegedly claimed that the show didn't happen because Michaels was going to appear on TV instead.

Instant Jam is a console-quality, online guitar game that is free to play, and embeddable anywhere on the web.
The game allows users to upload and play songs from their own music libraries. At the moment, Instant Jam is only available in a Facebook beta program and will be open to the public in the following weeks. The title, according to the release, will have high-quality 3D graphics and all the features you'd expect from a social game.

EMI Loses Another $802 Million, More Trouble Ahead |

In its report to investors this morning, EMI detailed a net loss of £512 or US $802 million. The company also wrote off another £602 million ($943M USD) in 2009-2010 and despite a recent round of refinancing still has £3 billion ($4.7B USD) in outstanding debt.
